After long last the conference is finally upon us! Unfortunately
we were quite busy during the actual conference so for the first
day we did not take that many pictures. There are quite a few
more to go through though so do not despair.

What a smug looking pair, do you not agree? Clay Swartz, our
V.P. of technology and John Cahill the leader of our Irish
movement pose for the camera near the middle of the HEAT
circle.
If you are wondering why the picture is so misty it is
because many parts of the show floor were constantly
spouting that vegetable-oil/starch based fog in to the air
so that their lights and lasers would show up. This had
the side affect of making any flash photography illuminate
the very air between the flash and the subject matter
filling the image with this whitish haze.
|
Cahill insisted of doing the touristy thing and swiped our
camera and returned the favor of the previous image by
snapping one of Scanner and Clay Swartz. Again, near the
center of the HEAT ring.
You may notice that the haze is almost absent in this
picture due to his closer proximity to the subject matter.

Our next door neighbor was Sony with their two huge video
displays and very loud announcers. Luckily for us we had our
spiky ball brigade guarding the air between the two booths!

Here is a view in to the SegaSoft booth from slightly out
and across the way. This picture is taken from just inside
of the Virgin Interactive booth you have seen in earlier
pictures. To the right is the Sony both and behind the
SegaSoft booth is the GameStorm booth (with their horribly
loud and annoying Godzilla machine.)

This image is from the opposite corner, standing just
outside of where CaveDog had their posters for "Total
Annihilation: The Core Contingency" stacked. Here you get a
view in to the SegaSoft booth from the VMO side and you can
see how busy the traffic is. This is just average foot
traffic during the show. We did not wait for an especially
good crowd shot.
