March 31, 2005Comment SpamI logged on to MT to see I had 400+ comment spam. Alas! I deleted them all but can't do too much along the lines of prevention. I may've accidentally deleted some legitimate comments too. (Sorry!) I also want to clean up this site some, someway somehow

Hellyer ParkI decided to walk to Hellyer Park today. Slightly warm. On the way...
Once I got there, I wanted to find some geocaches around the velodrome, but found this in my way: I tried walking north up Palisade to get through a gate but it was locked so I just went home. On the way back, I heard a "Hello" from a corner house. I didn't see anybody. Then a second "Hello": I spotted a cage on the porch and within was a green parrot. "Hello," it said again. He he. Parrot. Arrrr. I also saw a house with a driveway but no garage door to meet it. It struck me as strange. Hellyer Park was named after George Washington Hellyer, a '49er from Ohio who ended up farming. Senter Road was named after a another farmer from Maine named William Alfred Senter.
